  This trail goes all over Yosemite, I walked the Nevada Falls to the valley section and the scenery was amazing. It would be a slog up hill, I was coming down hill. I would walk up the Mist Trail then down the Muir Trail. The footing for the most part is groomed gravel and stairs in some places. There are many many switch backs. Up near Nevada falls the footing is natural stone and is slippery and had ice on it (at 4pm) in some places so keep your wits about you. This is a challenging trail. The scenery is absolutely amazing. If you go to Nevada falls this way its probably somewhat easier than the Mist Trail but you will miss Vernal Falls and the views from below Nevada Falls.
